LacrosseAllStars.com plug
Take a look over at my other site: www.lacrosseallstars.com. It was recently started by a group of strikingly handsome Northwest fellas.
You don’t even have to love lacrosse to enjoy the content. We try to write on anything sports related as long as it’s interesting and topical.
Give it a try. Suggestions and comments are always appreciated.

Backhanded compliment of the day..
Nate Robinson had his summer league jersey retired yesterday. Here it is hanging on a random wall in some tiny gym in Las Vegas:
Did anyone know they retired summer league jerseys? Is this even something you can be proud of? And more importantly, is this a joke?
I guess no other Knick summer leaguers can wear #4 for the rest of time.

Jimmy Kimmel Ruins "Seasame Street"
A clip from Jimmy Kimmel’s “Unnecessary Censorship” that will scar your childhood memories of “Seasame Street” forever.

Confession: I enjoy watching the CBS show “How I Met Your Mother” from time to time. Ok, I said it. It’s really just the new version of “Friends” (a group of 20-somethings living in NY?? Are we out of ideas already?) but the reason it’s great is this guy right here:
NPH has been the man ever since “Doogie Howser” and was the only real reason...
Watch Daivd Blaine perform "demon magic"
Hilarious youtube parody of that street magician/ douchebag David Blaine. His “look back at the camera” move is pretty funny.

It's "Time For Some Campaignin"
The political satire from Jib Jab is great and always rivals The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. Here is their 2008 video “Time For Some Campaignin”. It does a great job making fun of both sides and the whole political process in general.
(they even throw in an unexpected “cigar” joke for Hillary).
Check out all of the other Jib Jab originals here.

Fleet Foxes: "White Winter Hymnal" Music Video
This Seattle-based band mixes monk-type chanting with a more folk style. Combine that with a cool claymation music video and the result is a winner. I keep waiting for the “California Raisins” to pop out. Good times.
Meet the band in this video. These guys are some genuine Northwest hippies.

LINK: "The Day Cool Died"
Great article on Sports Illustrated’s blog that mocks the self-congratulatory era of sports today. It’s creatively written and an entertaining read.
Check it out here.
There are not too many “Cool” stars left in sports. I’m hoping that my man B-Roy might eventually grow into one (link goes to video of Roy doing his best MJ impression).

Heel to the Balls!
The expert in this “How to win Bar Fights” video has a great Russian accent that makes every “tip” much funnier than it should be.
(it really picks up at about the 2:00 mark)

Check out this site: www.straightcashhomey.net
It features generally dumb/ cheap people who refuse to stop wearing ridiculous jerseys of guys who:
A) sucked
or
B) played on a team for about half a second and left.
Now I know where to look for pictures of myself wearing my sweet Oakland Raiders Randy Moss jersey. Best purchase ever!
(and now I will light myself on fire)

Looking for new music to listen to?
I heard about this site called Pandora.com and it’s a great way to listen to a bunch of music that fits your tastes. Some guys with a lot of free time on their hands started a Music Genome Project where they broke down and analyzed thousands of songs and found a way to relate them together.
All this means for the user is that you put in an artist or song you like and then it starts...

Mad Men & the 1960's: throw modern political...
I’ve heard a lot about the acclaimed AMC series “Mad Men” but have never actually given it a chance. Its centered around high-powered executives in the 60’s in the “Golden Age” of advertising. After watching the pilot episode online, I think I have to check it out now and rent all the DVD’s. Anyone else a fan of this show?
The advice to the new...
