Can Portland make the MLL feel at home?

Here is a great opportunity for Portland, Oregon to earn its designation as a up and coming area for lacrosse. Portland already boasts an indoor team (the NLL’s Portland Lumberjax) but this will be the first chance for Oregon lacrosse enthusiasts to show support for an outdoor pro team.
I’m very confident that the event will be a huge success but I do have one issue: why are they playing all the way out at Hillsboro Stadium? It is a great complex but inconveniently located 23 minutes outside of Portland (thank you Mapquest).
Money and availability were probably issues but in a perfect world, MLL lacrosse would be a great fit at PGE Park in the heart of downtown Portland.
Alright Portland lacrosse fans, are you ready to prove that you deserve a MLL team? This weekend would be a great time to show it.
